Service

- The Didgeridoo Care -

Would you like to oil (impregnate) your didgeridoo inside or outside? PRODIDGERIDOO will gladly take over this service for you. After two to three days (depending on the effort) your didgeridoo is ready for collection and protected again against moisture, saliva, etc..

Why should the indoor didgeridoo be oiled once or twice a year (optimally in spring and autumn)?

The inner wood swells during play due to warm respiratory moisture and saliva. The condensation on the cool wall causes soaking of the inside. Since the wood only gets wet on one side, stresses are created. The differences in tension between dry and wet parts could lead to the formation of cracks. A good oiling will last between one to two years, depending on how often the didgeridoo is played, and will also improve the sound of the didgeridoo in the long run.

Tips for care and storage of didgeridoos

Important to note: Eucalyptus (tropical wood) is much more sensitive to climate changes than most native woods. These measures should significantly reduce the possible occurrence of cracks on the instrument!

Careful: Linseed oil finis is selfigniting! It is essential to store the oily kitchen paper or oily cloth with water and airtight (plastic bag) and dispose of it properly. NEVER throw directly into the trash or garbage can!
